Droid X in the Wild

Okay so maybe its just because my town isn't intensely populated, or I don't live in a big city, but I have not seen a Droid X being used by ANYONE. For all I know, I think im the first one in my town to even get one.

Have you guys seen any being used in the wild by your fellow citizens? :rolleyes:

Yeah that's how I feel, and the sad part is, everyone at my job has NO idea it even exists. However; Im now just starting to see alot of Moto Droids, so maybe its a slow process?
 
The top 4 android devices i've seen
are

Incredibles, Droids, Heroes and mytouch 3gs

I have seen others(but these are only because i convinced the people to get those phones)

aside from family and neighbor I have never seen another Evo in the wild before

and today while registering for college classes, this guy was asking for my phone to give me his number and wanted to know what kind of a phone i had

I said a motorola droid X
but he was thinking of the original Motorola Droid and was like "What happened to the keyboard? Why is it so big"

On a slightly off topic note, Droid Shadow or Droid Extreme would have been a much much better name because even my dad gets confused when referring to my phone(thinking of the first droid)
 
I live in a relatively small town as well, and haven't seen anyone other than myself with one either.

Also have been seeing an uprise in the amount of Droids though. Before just recently I just saw one every once in a while, but now they seem to be all over here. lol It's probably that buy one get one promo I was seeing.
 
Nobody. Very small town here (about 10,000 ppl). Everyone says "oh, it's the Droid...my [brother/son/cousin...] has been using one of those for a few months now.

So then I have to explain that it's a different phone. Just released a couple weeks ago. Blank stares. "Can you still get email on it?" Mhm.... LOL
 
I've seen a couple Erises (Erii?), I know 1 other person with a Droid X, 3 Droids, 1 Inc and I saw a person the other day with an Evo. A friend of mine just got the captivate on AT&T the other day. I've been trying my best to convert my friends haha
 
Well, if you think about it, most of the DX's haven't even shipped yet. We're some of the lucky few to have one now. Most people are waiting for the August 3 ship date, right?
 
I have seen 0 Droid X's other than my own, a few Droids and Eris's, 1 EVO, and 2 Incredibles over the past couple of months. Added up I have seen about the same number of Android and iPhones. Many more BBerries around here. I am in a small town in Western NY.
 
no droid x's... but saw one man buy accessories on opening day so i assume he got one but have only seen mine in action. granted alot of folks here use the flip phones still... lol but there are 2 people at my work that have the moto droid....
 
I've got this "small town" thing wrapped up, there are about 1,500 people in my town. If you asked most of them about the Droid X they would probably say "what the hell is a droid?"
 
I haven't seen anyone else with one....but a LOT of people have looked at mine in passing and asked what it was
 
In my area (county population of 250k), I see more iPhones and BBs (especially Curves and Bolds) than any other phone. Every once in a while I will see a few Moto Droids. So far at work and in the wild I seem to be the only person that has a Droid X. :D
 
I Conceal Carry my Droid X, so you aren't going to see it. And I'm not gonna pull it out unless I have to use it.

I did have to register it with the Sheriff, otherwise you can't Conceal Carry it legally here. :D
 
We also live in a small town, Pop 9,000 or so.

We haven't seen anyone else with them yet, but we DID snicker at a guy with a DroidInc shirt on at walmart.. LOL!

Does that make us bad people?
 
In Philadelphia (center city where I work) tons of people with smart phones everywhere. I've seen one other Droid X and 2 Incredibles. Lots of Droid 1s.
 
I finally saw one today :)
I thought it was a droid at first
when the guy placed it on the table at ihop but i saw that lovely hump and
i can now say i have seen one in the wild

But for tmobile to be number 4, I always see people with more android tmobile phones then any other network

Ha no of coursed not
I laughed at my friend who brought an Eris a month or so ago and was bragging that his new HTC android phone

I'm thinking he has the incredible
and he pulls it out and i am like...that's it?
That's just an Eris aka a phone that sucks
