Are MMS messages received automatically saved to the SD drive? Or once they are deleted there is no way to recover them?

Same questions for gmail. If i opened an email and a picture was attached is that picture automatically saved to my phone?

Pictures are not auto saved, you have to do it yourself, if you don't then delete the source of the pic, the pic is gone.

So there is no way they are saved to the sd card unless I do it myself?

thats correct droid lover, you long press on the message with the pic, and save attachment, thats all you need to do

Last quesion.....when it comes to new technology, I am quite
challenged

I received some messages and pictures that I opened but failed to save before deleting them. If I plug my phone in to the computer will there be a way to find them??

Some placed I read say if you plug the phone in to the computer and hit "mount" there is a photo file for pictures that were taken with the camera, but doesnt mentioned pictures that were viewed through a message.

I don't know if this will work for you, but go to contacts, hold down on on the contact you want, select View Contact. Sometimes Contact History comes up and you might be able to recover messages from here.

That works! is there a way to delete all that stuff?

in Gmail, if you open the picture it isn't saved to your sd card

however, if you clicked download, it would be saved to your sd card
