Help Droid X not vibrating when receiving text

I have vibrate checked in the sms settings. The phone doesn't for texts when the sound is on or off.

My phone vibrates for phone calls still. I have rebooted several times

I researched this a little and found a factory reset worked for most.

Ill try that soon but I'd rather not do all that. Any other suggestions?

I looked at many other sites and that's all I found. It's pretty easy to backup everything and if there are any other things that aren't working right, it would fix those as well.

I found that an app (sound manager) has helped some.

Be sure that in addition to having the vibrate box checked that you actually tell it to vibrate when silent.

A friend of mine had this issue also, it turned out she was using handcent sms and had the vibrate off in the handcents app. I don't know if your using this app though.
