Droid X or Incredible?

I like the hardware and design of the DX better, but gun to my head I'd force myself to go with the Incredible. The locked bootloader on the X is a dealbreaker for me. If you don't care about rooting and custom ROMs, then I think the DX is a much nicer phone.

The X has a much better GPU (2x fps on 3d benchmarks), but has a locked bootloader so custom ROMS will be difficult to make (the Milestone has one too and it has been cracked though). The Incredible has a slightly better camera from teh comparisons I have read. What it really comes down to is what form factor you like. Big screen or smaller screen. Personally I would go with the X

If you live in a low signal area, definitely go with the Motorola. 'Nuff said.

I noticed no differenc in signal at my cabin where the coverage is very spotty between my droid and my wife's Inc. Maybe the X is better.
If you want small go with the Dinc, if you like a big screen and have a large pocket go with the X. They are both good phones but if you go with the dinc get the 1750 battery.
Me, I am keeping the droid until something way better comes along. I like my rooted droid better than the Inc. anyway. (but I almost did pick up the )

Personally if I was not able to get a Droid 1 with a physical keyboard, I would go for the X before any of the other choices. Though it cannot run custom roms at this point, chances are the bootloader will be hacked sooner or later. Either way, I don't think no custom roms is a dealbreaker for me. The android os has so much ability even from stock. You can still root it and run root applications I think (if I am wrong please correct me), when the bootloader gets hacked you can just be happy that your phone has that much more potential (=
PS: I really like the big screen on the X so that would be my main reason for preferring the X. But maybe you would prefer a smaller screen so just keep in mind what size u want the screen to be.

Go with the X. When OCd, the OMAP processor shines. If I were you, and rooting was in the future of the phone you got, wait for Verizon's version of the Galaxy S. It's name escapes me, but it will be amazing, complete with AMOLED and the Hummingbird processor that beats the OMAP by a good bit when overclocked.
If you can wait long enough, I suggest waiting for the 2 Ghz OMAP processor that is due out on a Motorola device (can't name it) late this year or early next year. Stock, it will be four times more powerful than the Droid, twice as powerful as the X and Droid 2 and that's without OCing it.
it will also run the next iteration of Android after 2.2 much better than the Droid X or any device due before the Holidays this year.

Depends on what you like really, some like Sense UI and some dont. I personally can't stand it when it comes to bugs, so whatever isn't Sense is what I would go with. Both are good phones though.. and pretty fast at that. Also have to take in account the size of both phones... it's like night and day.
