Help Droid X reboot on USB Mount

Hey Guys ,

Hopefully someone can help me on this issue.

My Droid X reboots itself after i mount my SD Card to my computer. It only happens when i mount it though. My phone has never rebooted randomly for no reason like a lot of people have claimed. I'm wondering if this is something that can be fixed without factory or hard reseting my phone.

I had this problem before a couple months ago and i had to factory reset my phone to fix it. Hoping i can avoid it this time with someones help :)

Thanks again guys!

I think I read on another post that this had to do with some apps on the sd card (angry birds) try moving them to the phone and see if it works.

I am not running those apps and still have the same problem. Infact, my Droid X rebooted it's self the first time I mounted it before installing anything from the market.

My theory is this. The Droid X always pops up it's own "new external drive detected" window when you plug it into a PC. Which only has the option to run some droid file transfer app, or browse a folder that subsequently only shows the executable to install said app. This is what I think causes the reboots. And if this isn't the cause, I still vote to have that functionality removed from this phone.

I have gone through many different flash drives. And they always work on the first attempt. Some do goto a folder or suggest to install their application. But they cannot crash. This is how the Droid X should look at this. Call me old fasion, but I don't feel the need for another app to browse files on my computer. If I did, I would buy a mac or iPhone.
