Root droid x rom help

ok so my girlfriend just got her first droid and wants me to root it i have everything ready for that my only question really is she likes the mikkG sense 2.1+3.0 roms is that rom compatible with the droid x? if not mikkg roms is there any other roms that use the sense 3.0 she likes the lock rings and profiles and everything else? thanks in advanced and srry if this is a stupid question




ps i have never dealt with a droid x but have rooted my HTC evo

Sense is only with HTC phones. The X has Blur.

thanks ill look through it all seems droid x is alot more complicated then the evo

Sorry, but it is indeed more complicated than other phones. We have what is called an encrypted bootloader, which means we are more limited to what roms we can flash. Recently, with the acquisition of second init, we have more custom roms, like miui and CM7 (and a few others) but that's about it. No sense, no other custom-y roms.

thank you ill definatly be asking questions i been searching for the easiest way to root if my girlfriend so chooses to root her droid x appreciate all the info

rooting and roming the dx is actually quite simple, but your hindered at what all you can do with it unfortunately, the DX is a powerhouse of a device that is capable of so much. the 2init roms we have help make it amazing, and the moto built gb roms we have are also great. hopefully you will learn about all of it rather quickly as some of us have.
