Help Droid X Same Name Contact Linking

I've seen other threads about multiple contact lists etc...My problem is that the phone is linking COMPLETELY different people that have the same first name!!! This almost caused me a HUGE problem (guys you know what I mean )

I tried just clicking on "phone contacts" in the list, but I'm still having the problem.

Please help...this is my ONLY issue with the baddest ass phone on the planet!

You'd need to manually unlink / relink the incorrectly linked contacts. At least that's the only way I can think of.

Yeah, I noticed whenever I added a new contact, it automatically created two listings for them and auto-linked them. One was for Google contacts, and one was for phone contacts with the exact same info!?!?! As jayloren suggested, I had to manually unlink them and delete one. Lame.

My problem is that its combining people that don't know each other All the "Tim" names were grouped together etc...

yeah it's a pita; keep that in mind if you end up doing a factory reset, because you'll need to do it ALL over again

Well, I guess that if this is the worst thing that happens with this thing I will be OK...Thank goodness I left blackberry world...I don't miss it a bit yet...
