Help Droid X screen flickering... now dead. Help.

So as the title explains, my X screen all of a sudden starts flickering, fading in and out, then dies. I battery pull, reboot, it looks fine, then it does the same thing all over again. Another battery pull (remember I can't see anything on my screen), reboot and nada. I noticed if I hold the screen at a certain angle under VERY bright light I can barely make out the screen.... I mean barely. Since I can do this, I know the phone is working correctly besides the LCD being dead. I do have insurance, but it's saturday and I use my phone for a TON of things, personal and business related.

Any advice? I can go into my local Walmart and buy another X outright until my replacemet comes (which will probably be on Tuesday since it is sunday and I doubt the overnight service will get me a phone on monday. I believe I have 15 days to return the X to Walmart for a full refund. Sounds silly to do this for two or three days of phone usage, but I have some very important things in the next few days that I absolutely need a working phone for.

Another option is that I have an upgrade available on one of my other lines. I could use that to get a new X, switch it over to my current number on my main line, then sell my refurb X once it gets here tuesday. This of course wastes my upgrade which I have been saving for when Verizon gets a dual core tegra phone in stock. I do have another upgrade at the end of March on my main line but again was saving that upgrade too.

Advice, help, suggestions welcome! Thanx.

Have you got a mall VZ that might be open tomorrow/tonight that can activate an old phone until the new one comes in?

I would just activate an old phone myself.... but I don't have any. I was keeping my HTC incredible as my "back up" phone, but when my GF's blackberry crapped out I switched her line over to the incredible. I suppose I may just have to get by for a few days until my replacement arrives. Wouldn't be a huge deal, but I have some VERY important business (and personal) calls to be made and received between now and then. If I can't see the screen, not sure I can accept the call.... frustrating. Thanx for the advice though!
