Help Droid x SD card problems

on the phones notification bar its telling me "SD card blank or has a unsupported file system" i did a factory reset and still has the problem what could it be? if anyone knows please tell me

Have you tried taking the SD card out and attempting to view its contents on a PC (independent of the phone)?
 
Well, since the card is already blank you have nothing to lose in reformatting it. See if that helps.
