Root droid x stuck at boot logo

hey all, having a bit of trouble with my droid x. ive been running liquid gingerbread v2.3 which i guess is a 2.3.4 build. things were great. but then i tried to install a custom theme. what a mistake. my phone now gets stuck at the boot logo. i can start it up in recovery mode as well is into the boot loader. and so ive been trying to sbf back. but i cant get rsd lite to recognize my dx in order to sbf. im running rsd lite 4.8 and motorola drivers 5.2. id really appreciate any help as i miss my droid. thanks, o and im sorry if this is a repetitive post but ive combed through alot of other posts an i just cant find the answer

You need the deodexed version to install themes.

Did you make a backup?

If you don't have a backup, you may have to sbf back to Froyo, root and install the 2 part rooted GB update. I don't know if simply installing the deodexed version will fix this for you. Maybe someone else can jump in.
