Root Droid X Stuck In Bootloop And Can't Go Into Recovery

So I Have A Droid X. It Was Running Fine On Rubix Focused 2.0.1. I Figured I'd Try Out Darkslide. So I Downloaded Darkslide v4.2. I Backed All My Data Up, And Got ROM Manager. I Make The Mistake Of Installing "Droid 2 Recovery Bootstrap" Instead Of "Droid X Recovery Bootstrap" Everything Worked Fine, And I Used ROM Manager To Choose The ROM. Next Thing I Know, My Phone Is Stuck On The Booting Animation I Had Before, And I Cannot Go Into Recovery Because Its Not The Correct Bootstrap. Help?
 
Droid 2 bootstrap will work on the DX. power down and then press home + power. Then the little droid dude will appear. Hit the search button and scroll to factory reset using the volume buttons and select it using the camera button. Then reboot. Let me know what happens.

Sounds like you forgot to wipe data. You need to wipe data before switching Roms.

Anyways follow the directions Aggie said to wipe data and you should be good after that.

Droid 2 bootstrapper is actually better for droid x than the droid x bootstrapper. I always use the Droid 2 one from now on.

I think you meant to say the Droid2 bootstrap was better for the DroidX now than the original DroidX bootstrap.

Easy mistake to make - too many Droid names out there!
