Help Droid X Water Damage!

Ok so this is probably the millionth post on this issue. But I need some advice. Is my Droid salvageable?

Ok so i dropped my Droid X in my toilet i really dont know how...

1.I grabbed it real quick and turned it off by holding the power button down.

2. I took out the battery and put it on my xbox 360(which emits heat like a hair dryer)

3. Waited for about 20 minutes and cut it back on, it powered on but the screen flickered then went blank but i could feel it vibrate as if it worked.

4. I took the battery out for another hour or so and tried turning it on again...nothing

Now im in the process of the rice trick...how long to i leave it?
Is it too late? Please and thank you all!

While on vacation, the first day, my X took a dip in the pool for about 3 minutes till I remembered it was in my pocket.

I scrambled out, hit the power button, took it apart, dried out what I could with a towel, laid it in the sun for a couple of hours then put it in a bag of rice (thanks to the hotel staff) for a day.

Dead.

Thank God I got the electronic device rider on our home owner's insurance which covered the cost of a new X, minus the 50 dollar deductible.

I can't help you on your current problem, but I can tell you that if it ever happens again, don't put the battery back in and turn it on until you are sure that the device is completely dry on the inside. It might look dry, but as soon as you put the battery back in and hit the power button, any water left in might just short it again and finish the job.
