Around May, I installed the Gingerbread leak and rooted my phone. About a week ago, I noticed my battery was draining faster than normal so I decided to do a factory reset before I took it in to Best Buy to get the battery/phone replaced as that is standard procedure there I believe. I forgot to unroot it first with Gingerbreak but looked up a guide online and was able remove superuser and all that through a terminal app. I had wanted to unroot anyway for a while to get the update (Running 4.5.588 and read that it's currently at 4.5.595; may be wrong about that) because when I go to update it, it always says "your device is up to date!" I didn't remove and bloatware or change anything else. It still won't update after the factory restore. Please excuse me if this post sounds "noob-ish" as I'm not technically savvy with Android. I figured I'd post here first before I simply break my phone in half and bring it to BB

It is now checking for the update. Is it suppose to take forever before something happens?
