Droid X/X2 Essentials Pack $19.97 from Verizon, Free 2 Day Shipping

The currency changes to pounds (as in English pounds) when I add it to my cart...that's about $32 at the current exchange rate, still a very good deal, but strange how it switched to pounds.

Anyone else?

[Edit - turned out to be an issue w/Chrome...behaved normally with IE.]

Nope, this is clearly advertised as a "Launch Week Exclusive" in honor of the Droid X2 release. No price mistake. Not sure how VW still has any stock left though. :)
 
Just ordered mine and got confirmation from verizon. cant believe that price thats cheaper then their car chargers alone, gotta love big red every so often.

Well when I ordered my DX2 on Thursday last week the special price was $79.97...It said "Launch week exclusive $79.97!"...that's why I'm shocked now....oh well, great find, thanks for sharing!!!!:cool:

Yea I just ordered 2 also lol In case I get the DX2 and wanna sell my DX1. Give the auction or sale a lil extra umph.

Thanks...Turns out it was a Chrome issue...completed the purchase through Explorer and $ stayed $. :)

Now have to decide if I go through returning the DX dock and car mount I JUST received from Amazon for $42, keep them as extras (one dock for work, one for home, car mount in each car), or return them, or return them and order a second set from Verizon to double everything. Complicated! :)
 
I just bought it also, the cheapest i could find the dock was 28 bucks by its self so this is fantastic!!! looks like im returning my HDMI cable I just bought

It is a mistake about 99.99% sure, since the sale price is $80 and the launch week special is $50. At $20 they are losing their butts on this deal. Go to order the DX2 and you will see $80 and then $50 when the add ons show up.

I am hoping we get our orders.... and ESPECIALLY mine ;)
 
Is it still showing up at $19.97?! I wonder how long before they realize....however I bet they are still making some sort of profit...accessories are the only way to make money in the electronics business anymore...
 
I just tried it with an upgrade ( I had an upgrade available since March of this year) and adding a new line. Still shows 19.99 for me.

Its also listed as Droid X/Droid X2 Package.

Yeah, but not at $20 ;) Their shipping costs alone are about $7 for second day delivery for a package this size, so about $13 net revenue against cost of probably $35 for the kit and packaging.
 
Well I've just heard that margins in cables (HDMI, chargers, etc) are like 80-90%....but I didn't think about shipping costs...good point
 
what an awesome deal, it was this that finally made me pull the trigger to get my NE2 to replace my INC1 for the DX2. :D

I haven't even decided on the x2 yet, and I couldn't pass this one up...figured if I didn't get the x2 I could pass this on to someone who missed out....trying to find our if my local costco has the x2 yet...I like the 90 day swap policy.
