Droid X2 Battery questions

Hello everyone! My first ever smart phone, droid x2, will be arriving in the mail tomorrow. I'm interested in buying a better battery than the stock one. After completing a brief search, I found that the BH5X or MB810 extended battery is the best mah (1800) offered that can still fit in the standard battery cover and fit most standard cases.

I'm debating on buying this battery, but I should give it a week to see if the stock battery has enough juice for my personal use.

This is the battery I'm thinking about getting: Amazon.com: Motorola Droid X MB810 OEM Extended 1800 mAh Battery BH6X with OEM Door SJHN0449A: Electronics

Is there a better battery/price deal? Does anyone here have an extended battery for their phones? Thoughts?

Thanks :)

Drew

I would suggest you try the regular battery for a week or so, using the built in battery saving phone settings if necessary. If you find that not satisfactory according to your usage pattern, then I would spring for the extended battery. I went ahead and bought the 1840 mAh extended battery (matching cover included) for $49 at a Verizon store. I have read where a lot of people have received bad batteries when purchased off the net, so you can return it easily if there is a problem. From the extended, I estimate about 30 percent increased time based on pretty heavy daytime usage. The matching back sticks up just a wee bit, but not very much, a fraction of a millimeter. This fits well into my Otterbox Commuter series case, and I believe it "should" fit into most cases. You can try that out at the store to make sure. I was told that the new cover needs to be higher to allow the battery to dissipate heat and to now cause a rainbow effect on the screen, or damage the screen when the back is pushed in slightly.
