Help Droid X2 Improvements

hello:
I have purchased the Droid X2, not necessarily happy with it for a lot of reasons. I would be interested in any suggestions to improve it, as my 14 days (Verizon) to return the phone are over.
I have used the GO launcher, and loved it on my Droid 1... loved that phone period, and wish I had it back.
Go Launcher didn't seem to work as well on dx2, so uninstalled it. Maybe I did something wrong?
Again, any input at all would be great. Also interested in developing apps, but have no idea where to start.

Either wait for the GB update (rolling out soon) which supposedly cures most of the phone's issues, or take it back for a Droid 3 or Incredible 2. If I was in your shoes, I'd go get one of the other phones.

I just upgraded via the zip file at xda forums.

If anything, I am seeing a performance decrease, particularly with LPP. Never got screen redraws before GB and now I am getting them a lot. Scrolling also generates some redraws, and lags occasionally where it was really smooth before.

Lockscreen seems a little slower to respond despite what others claim.

Tried a battery pull but everything seems the same.

Was really looking forward to this, but you aren't going to see any real world changes. I will see how battery life is after today.

As far as pixelation goes, I wouldn't believe anyone saying that anything has changed. Looks the same to me. I like the new icons, but they don't change anything about the screen although some people claim it looks better.

Go launcher did not run well on mine either, ADW runs much better.

I had constant redraws using launcher pro plus. I'm running go launcher now with the affinity ROM. This phone is spectacular!!! I've had an Eris, D1, and a DPro and my X2 is leaps and bounds better than any of those.

For those of you having trouble, I suggest you root and flash the affinity ROM, supercharge using Zeppelin's script, and install SD speed increase. I promise you will have a better experience.

I'm waiting for P3Droid's rooted GB release (today I hope). First time trying anything like this, so I hope I don't screw it up.
