Droid x2 or Galaxy S111

Hi all. I'm brand new to all forums on Smartphones. I have a Droid X2 and find it to be quite good compared to my HTC Eris. There is a great black friday deal on the Galaxy s111 and I was wondering if it is a better phone than the Droid x2?

I am also ready to root and fine tune my next phone? Is the G S111 a good phone to do this with?

Spec-wise, yes - the S3 is probably a step up from your Droid X2. Whether or not that means it's better for you, well, I can't say. I'd suggest you go somewhere where they have an S3 to demo, play around with, and see what you think. You might also want to have a look through our SGS3 section to see what the people who have it are saying.

It actually all depends on the carrier you are on with what kind of deals the s3 will be having.
