Help DroidX turns itself on

[FredFriendly]

Aloha all - I have a DroidX that has turned itself on even after being completely powered off. Took it to a Verizon shop and it's battery was removed, put back in, then factory defaults were reset. Went back to its old trick. It's done this on airplanes, in the car, sitting on a bench.... help!

So if I'm understanding you correctly, you actually power it down by pressing and holding your power key to get the pop up menu, then choosing Power Off? It's booting back up after you go through those steps?

you are no the only one with this "problem". Mine just did it to me this morning. But it hasn't been annoying enough to me to find a solution. But may I suggest the best work-around right now would be to remove the battery when you turn it off.

Or maybe its a feature that lets the government track you. Lol, just kidding. (or am I?)

Been having the same problem lately. Turn it off using normal power down method. A few minutes later, it turns itself back on.
