Help Dropped calls, no texts received

I activated my phone Friday night (2 days ago) and started using the phone only on Saturday morning. A few calls are going through but almost ALL are being disconnected back to the previous/home screen after one or two rings -- INCLUDING, now, *611 and *228. Called tech services this morning and am now on hold (15 min. so far!), from a land line. Texts from my family have not shown up, since yesterday and this morning. Did a soft reset this morning.

I don't want to complain about this phone but I am really frustrated. And I had returned my Inc because of problems....that by comparison are minor because the phone dropped 2 calls in 2 weeks. {{{{{{unhappy}}}}}

Update - finally got through to a tech person at VZW and she agrees I need a new handset. Now to find one -- everyone's sold out (sigh). At least it will get better. I want to love my phone!
