Dropped EVO From Hip Level

Last weekend while camping on the beach I couldn't find my phone and it started raining hard in the middle of the night. I called it with another phone and saw a glow coming from the sand. It had fallen from the tailgate of the truck and gotten buried under the sand and rained on (no case). It was fine after digging sand from the usb and hdmi ports

I also have the leather holster with magnet flap. Somehow my phone fell out of it the other day at the mall. The back cover came off and the battery fell out, but there is not a nick or a scratch to be found. After all of the stories I've heard of the EVO's screen shattering after a fall, I consider myself very lucky.

Thanks. I was reading some of the reviews on amazon and saw that some people were saying that the outer rubberized layer was wearing off within a few weeks of use. You experience any of that?

I have had no wearing of the outer rubberized layer. So far so good. I was one of the first to get the new InnoActive case, I preordered it and was in the first group of cases to be shipped.

dropped my phone atleast 3 times. 2 times i blame alcohol. lol each time form hip level to pavement (smooth) and face down. good think i have my PT case from bestbuy as well as a invisishield. just scratched/knicks to case. and when i shake phone still no rattles.

I've dropped my phone countless times now with the sprint silicone case and it just bounces with a nice low thump. No damage to the phone, no damage to the case.

Dropped mine naked from the Chest height on to an ED floor. So problem or blemishes I can see. I really keep thinking about getting a case but just like the naked phone.

I have dropped mine numerous times. Several times onto pavement from various heights. All while it was naked. The only damage it sustained is the corners of the housing have been impacted hard enough to show that the plastic is actually red, with a black coating nearer the surface. Phone works fine. The glass is fine - except during my transition from my iPhone 3G, I once had them both in my pocket face to face at the same time. They were both naked. Yep, the iPhone scratched my EVO's glass. Not making it up - it's so ironic it's funny. The scratch is off the side, in the black, so you don't even notice it. So I don't worry about it.

But to those who say you can't scratch the glass in normal use - you sure as Hell can - my iPhone did to it at least!

I have the white cover from best buy on my phone. I forget the name but it is two piece that slide onto the phone.

So, last week I was getting my sons stroller out of the trunk and i dropped it right on the pavement. The screen didnt get a scratch. Only thing that happened was my cover got scratched on the corners. My phone is still in prefect condition. I LOVE this case!
