But in all seriousness, I'd imagine Google are simply holding back the update until they are sure that the issue has been remedied/proven to be a Samsung issue (ie hardware).
When they are ready to roll it out they will, and we'll still be among the first devices to get it, until then I decided to pass the time by trying out another ROM since I restored back to stock back in October/November in anticipation for Gingerbread!
