Help Dropped Incredible

Need help! My son dropped my Incredible a while back. It looked like the only thing broken was the LCD screen. I opened up the phone and replaced it. It seemed to all be working, however, the touch screen is not working correctly. It will not register some letters and switch home screes is not sooth. I also can not put down the top "menu" screen. However, the touch screen looks fine. Question is do you guys think I need to replace the toucch screen or could there now be some type of software glitch...or should I just trash this phone?

Thanks for any help.

I would guess that your touch screen problem is directly related to the accident being it's post trauma. Only a guess though. I've not read or experienced any software glitches that might cause a pull down or touch sense problem. As to replacing... would depend on the insurance you have etc.

The outside glass screen has the touch sensors. I would make sure you placed the connector tab all the way into the holder and it is not slightly crooked when you locked down the clamp. The ribbon does have a tendency to move just a little bit if you do not keep inward pressure on it when locking it down.
