Help dropped phone screen not visible

i dropped my phone (htc evo 4g) and now the screen is not visible. i opened it up and all the connections are connected and the screen is not cracked. would replacing the screen solve my issue? i took it to sprint and they want me to pay $50 just to look at it to tell me what is wrong, and i don't have insurance.

I, for one, do not know if that would fix it or not. For 60+ you can get a different one though, if you don't want to be trying to fix it.
