Root dropping/ stalling 4g?

The 3G boost works but you need an up to date qpst that support lte. I'll post a link when I get to the laptop later before the game. Go Heat, lol

I tried doing the same steps that I did with my Admire but after adding the com ports and then selecting service programming and selecting the phone, I get an "online error" any thoughts?

Could you post your steps and what mode you had your phone in?

Open QPST Configuration and select add new port (if no com port for your phone is display). Add both com port and enable

Click Start Clients on the top menu, then service programming. MSM8660 is the 1x/Evdo radio and MDM9600 is the lte radio. Your going to need the spc for Msm8660, I use an app called meid converter. For MDM9600 the spc is 000000.

Look for the MIP tap on the mobile ip behavior options select simple ip only, and then write to phone.

Now you'll need to reboot your phone.

what did u use to modify the build?
 
okay i tried my 3g and my speeds didn't change :/
when y'all did this did y'all get a error message at the very end. Its NV_UE_IME_I
i restarted my phone and checked in qpst again and it shows simple ip now though.
 
Can anyone dumb-down the processes described in this thread? I honestly have no idea how to do these types of things - but I'm tired of shitty 4G on what seems like a 4G only phone.

Phone doesn't have to be rooted to use QPST to select Simple IP only, Correct?

I also tryed this on my Samsung Admire... Works great! hopefully it works on the Connect..

it works thanks sorry I thought u were referring to 4g speeds at 1.2 mbps I get 600kbps but great latency. I'm going to try the tweaks right now

Ive added tweaks to my buld.prop before.
Just want to know what exactly do these tweaks modify?
 
Ive been noticing my phone drop to 1x, EV, sometimes my phone takes a few seconds to pick up a connection (say if Im on Metro Web, I wont be able to load things).
I also noticed everytime I restart my phone 4GLTE pops right back up.
I called metro and they reset something on their end told me if it still proceeds, call back from a different phone so they can go threw the steps on re programing.. Went threw them... Didnt solve my problem. I asked what would be the next step after this if it didnt work, they said to call back and they will help me do a factory reset. Honestly I dont think thats going to do much but reset everything and I have to start from fresh..
Im getting real tired of the signal dropping..
Just added the build tweaks... and hopefully it does something.
