Root DSP manager to boost headset volume

lob

Android Enthusiast
When I flashed the Sense HD ROM I noticed that I had a new app called DSP manager. It is able to tweak the EQ, Room type and Dynamic Range compression of the headphone output.

I don't know anything about these advanced audio settings. Can anyone explain?

I have always been annoyed by the very low headphone volume on the Desire I have noticed that if I raise all the EQ variables to their maximum using this app I no longer have this problem.

So basically, I want to know; am I doing it right, or is there a much better way to raise the headphone vol. on a rooted Desire?

Many thanks. :D

I just use poweramp for boosting music (local files only) I have dsp but never use.

The issue is cause the headphones don't fit into the socket wellemough causing poor contact. Desire and headphones to blame. Some people complain the vol is too loud
