Root DSP Manager

Anyone know how to get DSP manager working or any other similar program? Since the stock Miui sound enhancer is too basic to be honest.
I've tried to just install the apk of dsp manager but it doesn't seem to affect the sound coming out my phone/headphones.

I'm not sure DSP Manager works with MIUI? Could be totally wrong though.

Are you just using a file manager to install? You might need to manually install using Terminal Emulator or Root Explorer (DSP Manager could be classed as a system app and would need to be installed on the system partition).
