Root Dual Boot?

is it possible?

I have an extra SD card, decent speed.

I was thinking of installing CM7 to the phones internal memory

and if possible, a 2.2 rom to the SD card.

so when I want HDMI functionality, I can pop in the SD and boot from it.

otherwise, it will run a cm7 rom to internal memory, and a seperate 16gb sd that doesnt have an OS on it.

any possible way I can make this work? seen some dual boot stuff in a google search but didnt seem to be what im looking for, very phone specific stuff that didnt seem like it would work on a Triumph.

We could dual boot if we got boot manager working, but until then I don't think that you can besides switching between nandroids...

We've done quite a bit of testing on the Triumph but have not been able
to boot any rom's from sd at this point.

I always though about the dual boot...but never took time out to ask about it. it would be cool if we could....seen it on the Iphone... they can run android too. I Know my Brother Can has been on his Iphone4s

that's a bit different. iOs and WP7 users can easily dual-boot android as well as their main os since android is open source. android users can kind of. If there phone is supported by boot manager which the MT isn't so I don't know that the MT will ever get dual-booting capabilities.
