Help Dual Boot?

Hi all,

I was wondering if you could have 2 (or 3) os's on the triumph and choose between them on startup. I love CM9 but want CM7 to be able to use the camera. I might even want the original rom on it to. I have a 16gb sd card. I'd buy a 32 gb sd card if I have to. Another thought I have is that you can have 3 sd cards and install 1 os on each. That way I could switch the sd cards whenever I want.

:confused::confused:
Please respond if you think you can help.

There isn't any way to do this as of yet. Stuff was being worked on at one point, but it hasn't been able to get worked out yet. :(

The OS boots from internal storage. I'm fairly certain dual boot isnt an option (yet?)

EDIT: Too late

Thanks. I really hope it will be an option sometime soon.

Is there any way to do it on another android device? I feel like there's a possibility that there is.

the only way to do that would be to use boot manager which doesn't work on the MT at this time. Another option would just to make nandroid backups of all the roms you use and restore to them when you want to use a specific one.

Boot manager allows for you to switch between 5 different roms. That's the only fast option that doesn't work for the MT, but works for some other devices.

Can you make a nandroid backup for multiple roms?

Does a nandroid backup save apps and stuff? or does it just save the rom and I'll have to use titanium backup for all the other stuff?

Nandroid backups save everything, apps, data, sms, calls, everything like that. Just keep in mind the more apps you have installed the longer its gonna take to restore. But you can make a nandroid backup within CWM for any rom.

Thanks for all your help but I just wanted to be sure that you can make multiple nandroid backups. Does making a new nandroid backup delete the previous one or does it save side by side so that the next time you restore one you can choose from a list. Also can you delete a nandroid backup. I would check this myself but currently don't have my phone so thank you very much!

Yes, you can have multiple and delete them as well.
