Ok here is the scoop. I apologize for this type of post, but I am curious, and admins if its not ok let me know. OK, I bought the nexus 7 2013 a week ago and absolutely love it. I let my younger brother borrow it for a day ( will not do again), and I found out that he went on pornography sites. Will this do any harm to my tablet, and from what I found I downloaded an app that does some cleaning called "clean Master", and i also use lookout. been using lookout for a few yearrs and love it. Is there anything else i can do to fix any harm that may have come across going to these sites?

I'm sure you'll be fine. Clear your browser's caches from the Apps menu, and invest in good antimalware for Android if you're really concerned.

I use ESET Mobile Security & Antivirus, $15 per year.

you cannot get a "virus" from visiting sites like that on an android device, to put it simply:

In the case of smartphones, to date there is not malware that replicates itself like a PC virus can, on Android this does not exist, so technically there are no Android viruses.

malware on the other hand is a completely different story. These types of software(s) are used to secretly control the device, glean information from you or your contacts, etc. typically you would have to download and install these types of things yourself in the form of an application, game, etc.

you're device is completely fine. just stick with lookout or some other free malware scanning program (or a paid one as he ^ suggested, either works!), and be careful of what you download and install.

if it would make you feel more safe you can, but in my experience it really isn't necessary to have more than one. heck, i know people that don't use any type of anti-malware on their devices without running into any issues.

well i just like the features that lookout offers, so what do u reccommend on cleaning junk of the tablet that no longer is in use or left from apps?

you can clean all that stuff out from settings menu, or hook it up to a pc and remove stuff manually.

i really dont like doing a factory reset unless i really have to because i heard a few people had issues that they doing to many and it did issues with the phones/tablets. like speed and so forth.

I was pissed when I found out about this. He said he needed it to do a quick lookup. I guess it was quick...ugh. lol may need to do that woohooguy
