last night, for some reason, i was asked which launcher i want to use to open an app (i forgot which one) and i accidentally clicked the stock launcher. that's when things went sour. the home screen changed back to the stock one, lost all my icons and what not. i clicked the home button and it asked me the same question but this time i made sure i clicked on launcherpro. everyhting went back to normal, or so i though. this morning after i unplugged it from the chrager, the stock homepage was on again and all the icons missing. i pressed the home button and LP came back.

i'm afraid LP isnt completely my default launcher. how do i check and/or change that?

PS: im using smoked glass v11

Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, then to the All tab. Scroll down to the default launcher, open that and select "Clear defaults." Now, when you hit the home screen, you should get both the stock and LP and you'll be able to select LP as your default launcher.

If you've checked "Remember as default action" when choosing launcher, go to "Settings/Applications/Manage applications", click on the launcher you want to deselect, then "Clear defaults" under "Launch by default".
Second way (if you didn't checked "Remember as default action" ) reset your phone and after startup phone automatically asks you which launcher has to be used.
If you havent checked "Remember as default action", you can also kill laucher with some Taskmanager and Android let you choose default launcher again.

I'm sorry, I didn't read your question carefully enough. What I think what may be happening is that when you run whatever app you chose the stock launcher as the launcher for, it reverts you to the stock launcher. It would be best if you could remember what app that was, and then see if that app has an option in its preferences to change the launcher used to open it.

Cant you delete the stock launcher. I have heard and read that it is best to just delete the stock launcher if you are not using it as it uses resources even though your using LP
