dumb question

I know this may seem like something I should possibly know; however, as I've stated in my intro post, I'm still learning new things about my evo everyday (which by the way is awesome and blows the I poop 4 away. I was wondering if someone could briefly explain to me what htc sense is and what it does again. Sorry if I'm asking a dumb question or one that has been asked any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sense is a user interface that HTC puts over the stock Android operating system. It creates a unique look to the phone just like Samsung's Touchwiz.

Think of it as a theme for the stock Windows operating system for your computer.
