Interesting information here, I too jumped ship from boost, but I went to T mobile. HSPA+ and at some point LTE even with out LTE my downloads range from 6mbs to 16.
I am on a $30 plan, gives me 100 talk mins unlimited text, web. but only the first 5gbs are at those faster speeds, after 5gbs it gets throttled to 200kbs. which is still faster then boost was in many places.
I bought a Nexus 4 and love it and its service on t mobile. I dont talk alot so this works for me, if you need unlimited talk but not much data the $50 plan is unlimited everything but only 500mbs of data at full speed then throttled to 200kbs.
Not to mention I can get t mobile refills $50 card for $40 $100 for $78. Sometimes other even better deals. I am not trying to convince anyone to switch just telling my experience.
I went from $35 boost so it wasnt like there was a big drop but the better data speeds were my main reason. I had the prevail from its launch so my android did not cost $5 extra. The City where I live boost coverage has always been good, 2.2mbs was not uncommon however at my house I was lucky to see 100kbs because of the damn pine trees in this area. With t mobile the speed drop is less noticeable, well I should say not as much a problem because its still over 6mbs.
