What is Curtis International?
According to Curtis International's web site...
http://www.curtisint.com/about/contact-Us.asp
they are located at:
315 Attwell Drive, Toronto, ON M9W 1M2, Canada
This places them in the same building as...
Proactive Supply Chain Solutions Inc.
280 Belfield Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 1H6, Canada
and while Curtis International does not display a sign on the building they are in, Proactive Supply Chain Solutions does. (Get A to B directions for these two addresses on Google maps. Look at the satalite image, go to street view, see if what I'm saying is true.)
Now go to Proactive Supply Chain Solution's web site http://proactivesc.webs.com/ and contemplate what you see in relation to the award wining quality of the Curtis International web site.
The goal seems to be to dump excess Chinese tablet supply on the American market without diminishing the demand for quality tablets within the American Market. The product itself is cheapened by excluding selected software components, and then the responsibility to provide software and driver updates is shifted to a web site (Curtis) which simply fails to do so. Neither the manufacturers (various Chinese), the trucking company, (Proactive SCS) or the retailer (H. H. Gregg & others) take responsibility for the lack of customer support displayed by the web site. (Curtis International)
Curtis' web site has no links to any OEM support download sites, and the only software provided to us by Curtis thus far does not work. This appears in the “LT7033 USB Windows Drivers” section as the attached file: “RockusbDrivers.zip.zip” DONT USE THIS FILE!!! It doesn't work.
According to their web site http://www.curtisint.com/about/about-Us.asp Curtis is planning to attend the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show. (January, 8-11, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada) Central Hall #9442
I hope that Curtis International will be responsive to their end customers and provide links to the OEM download site for each and every tablet they make available. In addition to this, the OEM's should be gracious enough to supply accurate information concerning device drivers and the proper rooting tools to use to correct the problems these tablets were shipped with.
Needless to say, these issues should be addressed before the start of the show, and then a customer 1st attitude should be maintained thereafter.
The following link lists the tablets currently available from Curtis International. I have every confidence that Curtis International will include the required links before the opening of CES 2013.
