Root Dumps of H631 6.0 update

I
Do you think you could upload the radio.img as well?

How can you obtain the patch ? Can you pull the radio or do you have to downgrade via KDZ and copy the update.zip

I have to do some more research before I upload the files as the device has two aboot partitions. One is aboot and onr is abootbak, I think the abootbak is probably a backup of the original aboot just in case something went wrong with the update to the bootlader so it has a usable bootloader to fall back on. The device also has a modem, modemst1, and modemst2 partion so I am not sure wich one is the needed radio. I will post back when I have more info on these.

abootbak is only a backup of aboot... basically the same.. so you can theoretically always pull a *bak.img and dd to the correct partition to unbrick. radio.img is in the update.zip uploaded in the marshmallow thread.

But isn't that just a patch file? I was looking at the update-script and it looks like that file has to be (for a lack of better word) built before installed as radio.img.

nope... the patch files are the pascal source files ending in ".p" (like boot.img.p) basically they diff the files and automatically make the changes on the device. basically like updating prebuilt files via source code.

but i also dont think we have a dedicated radio partition... rename radio.img to radio.zip... your welcome.

looks like it does in fact update tz and aboot

It amuses me to see just how damn reluctant my metroPCS (Tmobile rom'd) Stylo is on recieving the update to marshmallow.
It doesn't want to work, damn thing.

U have to flash the kdz file not just a rom it will not update unless its done that way

I have done this exact same method and no update. I'm thinning its rolling out in waves

EDIT: IT took me multiple times but i eventually got it to download and install the update. i can confirm that this does work on metro

I can't get it to flash. I get stuck at "User B96" on the phone Firmware Update screen and Connection to Server Failed on my PC. I've flashed plenty of KDZs before on other phones and haven't seen an issue like this before.

I've had the same issue on my PC (it's even shown in my tutorial). But it does flash the device, if you bother to look at it.

I am on mpcs 10j stock no root. I downgraded from Katana. Every time i try to flash the H63120b kdz file i get a "cannot connect to server" error. I am using Lg Flash tool , ran as administrator. My phone is in download mode. I am on Windows 10. I have also installed the lg drivers and H63120 kdz is in the folder with i made on my desktop with all the files from the lg flash tool zip. Does anyone know if I am in error? If so how do I fix it. My phone still works, and didnt go passed 0% in download mode. I pulled the usb cable and battery, and started it right back up. Im having the exact same issue as @overclocked92

As shown in the video, this is normal. Let the program run still and look at your phone.

@RonnieMatson I watched the video numerous times and am aware the error is normal. But my phone does nothing. Upon my last try it stayed at 0% for approx. half an hour after the error. After half an hour, i gave up. Ive tried the method in the video numerous times to no avail.

at the moment it doesn't seem possible to flash the OTA marshmallow update to your device.
You need to *actually* downgrade and follow the steps on the video.

The T-Mobile 10j kdz link is down, if you have the kdz then yes, flash it and wait for the 10L and then MM OTA's.
