Help duplicate contacts in messaging

in msg my contacts have multiples of the same

how do i get rid without having ti delete em all

sounds like you have phone/google/sim contacts being displayed.
go into contacts
menu>more>display options>select contacts to display

untick the ones you do not want to appear.

my money's on that it is also showing sim contacts (will have a sim card icon next to them)

its when i go to msgs
its normal in my contacts just msgs

Have you tried my suggestion?
If you have and its still like this, then all i can think of is to try to do a "clear data" for the messaging app.

Ok had this problem and the msg app is accessing contacts from phone and sim.
The only way round I found was to connect to kies and access contacts and delete the doubled contacts from either the phone or the sim. I deleted from sim
