Help Duplicate New Email Notifications Using Exchange Account on Stock Client?

Hey All,

So I am having a problem with Exchange on my Android. I am running a Droid Inc 2 (2.2). I have my email account setup as Exchange w/ Push using the Stock Android Client. Everything works fine but I wind up getting duplicate notifications for "new" emails. This occurs when I read the email on my computer or phone, and then use the computer to remark the email as unread. This occurs only when the latest unread message on the server is toggled (see example below) But it seems like if the flags on the first email get updated that triggers Android to launch the new email notification even though the message is not new... just marked as unread. Anyone else seen this?

Example (Newer Emails on Top)...

Phase 1 (Receive New Email)
New Email (Unread)
Old Email (Read)
Old Email (Read)

Phase 2 (Read New Email)
New Email (Read)
Old Email (Read)
Old Email (Read)

Phase 3 (Option 1 - Unread New Email, e.g. Mark as Unread on Computer)
New Email (Unread)
Old Email (Read)
Old Email (Read)

Doing the above causes the phone to notify that there is a new email, but there isn't. Alternatively...

Phase 3 (Option 2 - Unread "Latest" Old Email, e.g. Mark as Unread on Computer)
New Email (Read)
Old Email (Unread)
Old Email (Read)

Doing this also causes the phone to think there is a new email.

Any Ideas? It is 100% repeatable. It seems like the phone is sensing flag changes as new emails...
