Duplicate Text Messages

[PRkid]

So for months, I've been getting duplicate text messages (on GO SMS.. I have the stock text app, disabled from getting notifications). But I still get about 3 (or more) of the same text messages, from everyone that I end up texting. I went to the Metro PCS store, and he told me that it might be bc I have installed CM7 (or probably rooted the phone). Which sucks, bc this is annoying. Is there an app, that will prevent this duplicate text messages to go through, or a way to stop that from happening?

That happened on my Ascend too. Im positive its not CM7. I would get 2 or 3 dups on the stock sms but if I used an alternative I would get double that.

Try https://market.android.com/details?...?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5hbnRpLnNtcy5wcm8iXQ.. Ive never tried it tho but heard it works.

Yeah, that is a metro thing, irrelevant to ROM or phone even.. Not disabling stock messenger will definately increase it though.. Ever since I've been with metro (think the first phone i had with them was the samsung messenger (dumbphone) ) i've gotten dupe text messages.. some days its fine and others i'll get bombarded with dupes of 10 text messages through out the day all at once..

Also I've heard of people using that app ShinySide mentioned but not personally used it.. Did notice this though in the description, may save you some grief..

Caution: This app may conflict with Go SMS, Hancent SMS, SMS Popup. If you use these apps, please remove and re-install this app after upgrade these apps. Do that before contact for supports.
