duplicated sms

I keep asking questions, but I guess that's what this place is for ^^;;

I had HandCent installed, and as I did the 2.1 Sense update the other day, all my messages were duplicated.
Do I have to delete 400 messages one by one ?
My weekend would be quite dull. :/

If you use Handcent, you must disable the default sms app.

Go through the HC settings.

Hope i help you....

Thanks, but I uninstalled HandCent.
However, I still have all the duplicates.

My question stands; do I have to erase them one by one ?

I had the same problem (like most of us who updated firmware AND made backup). After I saw that nobody has a nice solution, I tried searching the net and market for an application that could delete duplicate messages. Didn't find it, but...
I installed app called "SMS Quick Delete", it has the option to select multiple messages inside a thread, or whole threads and then delete them all together. Oh, and one more thing that annoyes me with normal inbox, but works well in this app - after you delete message, it stays right there where you were, it doesn't scroll to the end of the thread.

Hope this helps.

You know, I was just deleting some, and realized it'd take hours with the one-by-one, scrolling-to-end method. xD

If I could give you more than one 'thanks', I would ^^
