Duxum tablet

Lurker
We've just bought this tablet:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/1-2GHz-ANDR...9K82/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346953040&sr=8-1

and it's a lovely little thing - but we can't get it to connect to the internet.

We've tried the usual - switching the router on and off, making the tablet forget the setting and then setting it up again, with no avail.

We have a new router, on the UK BT network. Password connected, WPA/WPA2 security.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very grateful.

Thanks: checked there but couldn't find anything referring to this particular tablet or problem. (I found posts on the A13 processor, but they weren't relevant).

Are you trying to tell me I should post my query on that forum instead of this? (sorry, I don't understand what you mean when you've just posted a web address).

yea, this is more about cell phone, that site is all about tablets, gonna get more action there.

odd how 4am post turn robotic, if you got a phone problem, there is no better place then here, if you got a tablet problem you go there. if your tablet is a real odd ball, you go by internal specs for the right section.

I'm in the UK so my time is completely different to yours - I'm never up at 4am! I am in email discussions with the Amazon seller about it at the moment, he is giving me lots of different ideas to try. So far nothing is working - I think I may have a faulty tablet.:(

Genuine Duxum....who?

Think this a cheap off-brand Chinese device, fluky and faulty wifi is often a problem with these devices. Suggest you RMA it for refund or replacement.

The box has 'Mid' on it, so I'm guessing that that is the make, rather than Duxum.

I have been in constant communication with the seller, and they are replacing it for me.

Thanks for your advice.
