DVD to Hero (probably numpty question)

I've got The Wire on DVD and would like to copy to the Hero for a long trip
this weekend.

I've downloaded Handbrake and DVD34 (?).

It rips the DVD to m4v (which I think is the same as mp4), but when I copy
to Hero as m4v or mp4, it doesn't seem to play. Blank screen ....

Try doubletwist it should it should automatically adjust the file to play on hero.

cool...does that mean it will convert DVD to Andriod or do I have to convert to MP4 first? Thanks

I have converted hundreds of AVI files to M4V using handbrake. Choose the iPhone Preset and convert. 99% success rate working on Hero running stock 1.5. I use mVideo Player from the Market. Test the converted M4V file on the computer first and make sure that it plays there, then copy it to the root of the SD Card.
