Root DX user helping boss with Fascinate

Alright guy's, I'm a DX owner. Love it. Learned how to root and all that on it. That said, there are a lot of great developers that have made shortcuts so all i have to do is one touch root, download dX bootstrapper to make a back up, load into recovery and install from SD card. and if I screw up I just use RSD lite to flash back to stock.

That said. I know that DX is not full root like this is. I really like the fascinate but the first thing i noticed coming from my rommed DX is the bloat.

I rooted using one touch fascinate root. D loaded ad blocker and Rom Manager and that's all I did today because I didn't want to get fired by rushing into romming.

Can someone explain the steps to do things? So for me and my DX it was Root, Bootstrapper-back up, move rom to sd card, boot into recovery, clear cache and install from zip and i'm set. What is it for you guys?

you need clockwork recovery installed...we have to push it with odin, then flash it in rom manager.

how i flash a rom on the fascinate?

1. put the rom on the sdcard
2. boot into clockwork recovery
3. wipe data/cache (most dont wipe data except to go to aosp)
4. flash the rom
5. reboot

for kernels, the same except i just wipe cache/not data

di01 is the current version of android 2.1.1 that the fascinate is officially on....dj05 is the leaked 2nd 2.1 update that addresses amongst other things the gps problem

dl09 is essentially a reworked dj05 that was supposed to fix the dj05 bugs (and didnt) that got leaked and is now supposedly official....most of the root crowd has been on dj05 for awhile

dj05 kernels are usually listed as such...and compatible with dj05/dl09 roms

anything made after say 11/17 has been dj05/dl09 both rom/kernels/themes/mods

I hope I'm not too late but You Missed a couple Nit.

1 Backup his apps with Mybackup root or Titanium
2. Make a nandroid (I'm assuming you've Odin CWM if make that #1)

then follow the above steps
