DX1/X2 Multimedia Dock questions

I am looking at getting a DX2 and just ordered the $20 bundle that gets the multimedia dock. My questions for those that already have that dock:

- Can the dock accept the phone witha gel case on it?

- Cane the dock accept the phone withthe Moto extended battery installed?

- The docs show it can connect to wall plug or usb cable to computer, while on computer can you transfer files?

Thats good to hear. I am being swayed to a DX2 more and more. Been on fence with maybe doing a Charge, but I know when the Bionic ships later in year Iw ill be all over it, so better to buy a DX2 off contract now and sell it later and get a subsidized Bionic then. But that damn Charge screen is so tempting...
 
are you sure you can use the docks with a case or extended battery? i have both docks (no case or ex batt) but it doesn't look like there's any room for the phone to be any bigger than it is and still fit. i know this was the case with the original droid and its docks...case must be removed to use the dock.

yes, there is an hdmi port and plug on the multimedia dock.
 
Yes, it fits. The Moto battery, barely adds anything, less than 1 MM. and its still not as 'out" as the bump at the top of the phone, which fits in the dock. Yes it fits. As does a Gel skin, which also fits over the bat, and into the Dock. The Gel is squishy. But i have not tried it with all Gel cases, just the one my wife has.
