DX2 audio problems....ROOT?

Can someone direct me on this? I would like to root it if possible but don't want to brick it.

Is there a relatively safe root procedure out there for a newbie?

honestly, your phone is not working properly to begin with, rooting would not be the cure all answer, and I hope you didn't pay your friend for this phone since its having these problems

Problem has been solved. Took it to a repair shop today. Earpiece speaker connection had become disconnected. They soldered it and bam! Just like new....
