Help Dying Hero

After a year, I think my Hero has had it.

I don't have that many apps loaded on it all, and it seems to lock down whenever I get texts. I have to reboot it several times during the day to get it to unlock.

I'm not sure what to do really. I have another year before an upgrade and this phone isn't going to make it.

Is this happening to anyone else not rooted?

If you have some long threads of text messges, delete them. Also, try going into menu/setting/applications/manage applications...hit menu again, and then sort by size, then go to each app and clear cache. DO NOT Clear Defaults.

Thanks JB.

I'm doing that as we speak here. I was getting a lot of "Close/Wait" errors as well. Hopefully that will slow down too. I'd like this phone to last a while longer.

I think this is part of my issue but when ever I try to delete my texts, my phone freezes. Is there another way to delete them without going into the text 'app'?
