Root E: Can't read MISC: (No space left on device)

Well it means you have no internal memory left you need to delete old/unused .apk files or ring tones or something of no value.

Try and check how much system memory is being used.

If you're on sense 3, that might be the issue. Those roms are a bit big. Might need to partition your SD card. (though on mik3Db1, I have about 130mb free).

Granite1 was able to provide a solution that worked. The problem was with the IMG file and I replaced it and all is good now. The post is in the MIK3D B1 forum post 344 I think, here it is.

Also try to fix your permissions.

Lastly if nothing else works, download amon-ra 2.3 and flash from hboot.

PC36IMG_RA_2.3.zip

Take this file and rename it to exactly PC36IMG, then transfer it to the root of your sd card. Boot into hboot (hold down power and volume down) just let the phone sit, it'll scan for the PC36IMG, then ask you if you want to update, select yes.
After that boot normally.
Then power down again and boot into recovery. Make a new nandroid , then wipe cache and dalvik cache, boot normally, or try to flash a kernel.
