I'm trying to synchronise my work E-mail using IMAP between the Hero and my home desktop (on which I use Thunderbird), and it seems to work well using the HTC app, except for messages sent from the Hero, which are never copied into the IMAP sent folder. They don't appear in any folder in Thunderbird, nor for that matter when I log into my account via webmail.
I've set up a GMail account on the phone and it works fine, logging in via a browser I can see the sent messages in the appropriate folder in GMail, so the problem seems to be with my business domain, which is hosted by Rackspace Mail and to which I connect using SSL (both SMTP and IMAP).
A search of the board hasn't revealed a solution to my problem, although I did see a few suggestions for alternative E-mail apps. The HTC app and widget seem to work well though, except for the disappearing sent mail!
