Help E-mail syncing issue

hey guys I have a fairly odd issue with my work email and the DX. my gmail works perfectly and pushes the emails just how I set it up to, but my work email will not push the new emails and will also not update when i specifically press the "refresh" button. the only way I can get the new emails is to restart the phone...anyone know what may be causing this?
