E-mails keep getting downloaded

Morning,
how can I stop e-mails from downloading whenever I connect to the internet and D/Load them manualy when I want.
I have all the optioned greyed out in General synch settings but it still does it.

In the email app in Setings->Set download frequency put the peak and off peak time frequency on manual.
