Help E/mails

Hi I have a Galaxy Europa that I bought yesterday ,so still playing and finding my way round. My problem is deleting my e/mails. I can do it no problem but did not realise it would delete them from my computer as well {my Blackberry didn't }. Is there any way I can just delete them from the handset. I lost a lot of valuable e/mails last night . Thank You Christine

You effectively have a copy of your PC email on your phone but the data is not actually on the phone.

Any action taken on the phone will be reflected on the PC.

Any chance your deleted emails could be recovered from server?
I mean log onto your provider via pc browser, they will be still there.

Yes, the emails should still be in the bin and be recovered from there.

This could be done from either the phone or the PC.
