Ear volume (new issue?) and flip for speaker?

I have had my TB since release day. Unfortunately, I have been in a period of low call use so I am just now realizing I have an issue.

When I receive a call, the earpiece volume is way too loud. I press the down toggle and the volume level in my ear does not go down. I look at the screen and the volume scale shows about 30% but the actual volume coming thru is probably 100%. I press down again and nothing changes. I press UP volume until the display scale goes all the way up - and then down toggle and the actual volume comes down to useable level consistent with on-screen scale.

I searched and do not find mention of this - anyone else experience this issue? Any recommendations?

I also have the menu settings set for speaker phone on flip over but it never seems to actually go to speaker when I turn the phone over during a call. Again - any help here?

I have the same two issues, even with ear volume all the way down I have to hold it away from my ear. Also have it set to activate speaker when turned over but not working.

Go to "Settings", then "Call" and make sure the "Hearing aids" option is not checked. If its checked then it amplifies call volume.

Hopefully that's the issue.

Good luck.

Forgot to mention, the flip for speaker function works when you flip the phone and set it down on a table or something. It does not just turn on if you flip the phone. Pretty sure it uses the proximity reader to turn on the speaker when you set it face down.

Thanks but I just looked under settings-> call -> Hearing aids and it was already unchecked.

I'll retry the speakerphone on next call but I am pretty sure I set it down last time too.

Still open to suggestions.
